Description: Remember the days of the old westerns? Macho men. Gun fights. Women in Corsets. Bars and Brothels. Horses. Great frontier. Train Robberies. And did I mention women in corsets? Well this was has nothing to do with that. But what it does have is: HUB, story-driven, lots of ACS, voice acting (whoooo), new textures and sprites!

Looks nice, like... "Caverns of Darkness II"? ;-) However I think those bulbs in the third screenie could be high-res (ZDoom).
Great caves, a bit too bright for my taste.
I was among the blessed few to be able to betatest this... ages ago. Lets just say this wad has crazy amounts of atmosphere, and very nice detailing. The gameplay at the time ranged from good to clumsy, but I am sure there's plenty of time to fix that ;) Very good to see this is still being worked on... finish it, Lu :)
Clint Eastwood couldn't make it, so they had to settle with me for the acting.

Wow... Raynor's Tale has been in development for a while and it looks as awesome as ever... I'm really really looking forward to this, it's definetly a refreshing break from the norm.

It is so fucking great that if You won't release it I'll hang You ;) I love slopes and moody levels. Man, it's wads like these that I can't suggest anything. They're too great to suggest anything! phew.
Ah, nicely detailed levels there, doesn't even look like Doom, it looks like Redneck Rampage, grrrrrrreat! \o/

Ohohoho! This is going better and better, I would like to offer my skills as a tester, Tomi.
I played the latest version today, and I have to say that it's really impressive. The graphics, architecture, sounds and voice acting manage to create an awesome atmosphere.
i just played the beta and it's a really awesome piece of work it's barely believable how much work you've put into this. i simply just love the atmosphere you created, makes me wish i lived in the wild west back then j/k. anyways, this piece of art is just unbelievable in it's way of architecture, atmosphere, sounds and music. not to forget the tasks which can break your brain, but never get frustrating. also big props to mancubus how did a really good job on the voice acting, which helps the atmosphere. all in all one of the best things i've seen since massmouth2 and finally another project to look out for in this year with rtc-3057 keep up the good work

The essence of excellence! I've been playing beta's of this for a few years as well as contributed some minor things to the project. What Tomi has created here is simple a groundbreaking wad. This is really something to look forward to! :)

You've got to wake up Tomi! Raynor's Tale can't be shoved into a bodybag just yet!
It's a damn shame this was essentially canned. I had the privledge to play a beta of this wad and am willing to so say that Raynor's Tale was one of the best wads I ever played despite being unfinished. If this isn't finished and released it woudl be a travesty for it to slink into obscurity. What are the odds of someone else picking up where the project left off to finish it?
If you have the unfinished test version you might as well just release it, ala Twice Risen and Eternity
Mr. Tomi Rajala (i believe that's how he spells he last name), the creator of the Hell Factory (Hub 1). He is since long out of the Doom business. Raynor's Tale Part 1 was originally a project we were gonna work on together (it was my idea of making a full-blown western TC) but one thing lead to another.

No... which is too bad. There is a nearly finished demo floating around which shows just how amazing this project would have been... even today.
Is there someone here that still has that unfinished demo and is willing to upload it somewhere or mail it to me to upload? I'd be curious to try it and to share it with the other users.
I knoww this is way too late,but please,a place to download?
I see you are still waiting for a release of this project. I haven't touched this project for years but if there is someone who is willing to continue it, feel free to ask. Maybe I could just release it unfinished.
