Description:

Updated: The map is complete and included in the Community Chest 2 megawad.

The screenshots were taken in PrBoom and may be slightly different from the end product.

For the third screenshot, you could try raising the ceiling at some of the tiles and put another texture at the raised areas. Sort of as if parts of the ceiling is missing and you can see the structure on the other side.

Never think your level is "too dark". People who judge darkness in screenshots with bright colors surrounding the image, are stupid. It always looks better once you play it, and as far as worrying about what it looks like on other ports, ...don't.

It looks great. Very Doom 1ish, especially with the low ceilings. If you wanted to spruce up #3, then you could probably put some broken computer consoles or something into the walls, maybe having them illuminate areas with cool light effects.

I've found 128 lighting fine for the gloomy look. It's not too dark and will show up nicely on most any port. Looks like a fine classic map, my favorite.

I'm not too fussed on it being too dark, but add more lights man. The screenshots don't show very much so there isn't too much to say about the level. Maybe a bit more use of different textures would be good, because it always happens to be the metal flat.

I'd guess it's because he changed the status from 'in progress' to 'released'. There's quite a few other 'in progress' wads here on WIP that have actually been released ;).
