Description:

An small mapset I've been working on for like an week or so, it will have 2 maps one of it despite some minor tweaking is allready done, and maybe just maybe I might include an third map but that depends if I have enough ideas left to add an third map.

The screens shown here are all from map02 which is about 50% done so far, I'm going to make it look like an waste refinery and try to give it my own style and ideas.

You can find more info and screens and even an early beta from map01, and an couple of older screens of map02 by following the link below.

http://www.doomworld.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=40211&pagenumber=1

I will try my best to give this map fun gameplay experience and hopefully it will be worth your time.

*Update 14/10/07* its uploaded to the archives I've added the link to it the old link didn't work anymore.

Very good use of the textures, looks really nice. The lighting looks spot-on too! Keep it up!

Very Intresting map

When I think of Wolfenstien inspired maps, I usually think of wolfendoom. A series of quickly done wads with half finished dehacked patches and the same Doom alpha weapon rips. When I look at this map though, I see a revolution. A quick glance at this map seems to show what could be considered a Doom map that simply uses the wolfenstien textures. A closer look will show that the level design is almost exactly like that of Wolfenstein, but with the architecture of a highly detailed Doom map. Although the ceiling height variation is incredibly varied, the player still stays at the same floor level.
It's Wolfenstien, without the bleak and ugly appearance.
It's more or less a revolution in level design.

You've got the graphics down, now you just need to work on gameplay. :)

Thats what I wanted keep the wolf3d feeling as much as possible, while still make the map very detailed.
Gameplay is still being worked on its kinda hard to come up with an fun map when your limited to just one monster.
Slow steps but its getting there.

dindt wolf 3d have 1 monster in most of the levels

Dutch Devil writes:12.08.2006, 10:38 GMT+1

No there where more than the ss wolfenstein, there might have been some levels that had only one type of monster.
I haven't played wolfenstein 3d in a while so I can't say for sure.

Yeah im saying that you could use those Maps as a base for the gameplay thr first level comes to mind with the normal nazis

I enjoyed this a lot, a very good 20 minutes of doom.
This map is very good, appealing, interesting, and the gameplay is enjoyable. I find it hard you made it in two weeks, you must be some map-factory or something?

Looking forward to your NDCP2 Maps now >:D
