sky texture from AgentSpork's last map

..Which is just a recolored version of Doom1's E4 sky. :P Feel free to use it though.

Anyways, the map looks great. Can't wait to see more.

i saw it on the newdoom news that it was going to be shut down at the end of May...just checked doomworld and mancubus.net news and didn't see a word about it though...maybe doom_dude is pulling a way late April fools joke on us newdoomers.

dethtoll writes:(new) 23.05.2005, 07:53 GMT+1

i just checked codeimp's weblog, and it says it's shutting down because of sissy slapfights over which client server program is better. dumb.

well fuck. oh well. there's always skulltag.

um, what about it?

Nuxius writes:(new) 24.05.2005, 06:40 GMT+1

I think he's referring to the fact that it looks like one of those 'color by numbers' things that were around when we were little. I think it looks like that because you have "stretch short skies" enabled, which makes 99.999999~% of all skies look like crap.

I've seen a lot of Agent Spork's other skies in his wads and they all looked great, so I'm sure that's the reason.

Anyway, looking great so far. Nice and atmospheric, just like I like them.

MasterOfPuppets writes:(new) 26.05.2005, 07:24 GMT+1

in response to the last couple of comments, i have implemented a tall sky. i just tiled the second sky, but the first (the mountains) i stretch, giving the mountains a much sharper, spiky appearance. looks a lot better, thanks for tlaking me into it :)

Needs more green. ::runs away::

MasterOfPuppets writes:(new) 04.06.2005, 00:30 GMT+1

you know, you might be right... nukage pools coming up!

Agent Spork writes:(new) 25.06.2005, 16:53 GMT+1

The new shots look really good, although I'd probably do something about the sky. It just looks a little bit.. strange.

Maybe this sky would look a little bit better in your map?

Yep, I agree with what Agent Spork said. Nice sky there, AS.

Really like the new screenshot anyway, MoP. Keep up the great job.

eew...

yeah that sky is pretty good looking. think there might be a just clouds version? cause i like using double sky so the clouds move with the mountains in front.

Yeah, I have a version without the mountains. You can find that here:

I hope the Doom64 mountains remain in the final sky. I like them very much.

MasterOfPuppets writes:(new) 27.06.2005, 09:24 GMT+1

Spork, you know you kick ass right? thanks
