Description:

Update: Homepage is launched
http://tf.mancubus.net/nimrod

Team Future's multiplayer project Nimrod - Project Doom is finally released. Other than several new skins and weapons, Project doom features 14 maps rangeing from small to very big. It also features a Mod/Xm soundtrack and all the textures/monsters and other things used in Nimrod for Doom Legacy, so if anyone would like, it'd be possible to play Doom2 SP or make new maps for this wad and use all that was in the Legacy counterpart.

Most of the maps are based om maps from the original Nimrod SP mission, but there´s also be several completely new maps by talented authors such as Agent Spork.

heh, after our little test, I must say that I liked the layout of the maps. I am sure this will be one kick ass mod ^_^

Agent Spork writes:(new) 21.03.2005, 05:26 GMT+1

Yeah, the map was pretty good. I don't remember seeing those medals before. Did you add them?

Kristus writes:(new) 21.03.2005, 12:26 GMT+1

Yeah I made the medals. Map01 and map02 have been tested, Whoo. :D Of course not enough. But they have been tested. I have 2 more though.

Nmn writes:(new) 21.03.2005, 15:20 GMT+1

Friggen hell :D Oh yeah, dig the prowes, the capacity for Violence. Now I'll be able to play Nimrod on something else as Legacy. Keep up the good work.

[insert insightful comment here] :D

Sounds cool Ebola, however I was never a big fan of the Nimrod status bar heh

Yeah, I'm probably gonna remove it.
I even thought about that when I made Nimrod. But, I was tired of remaking it and .. stuff.
Edit: It's gone now. O_O I feel so empty inside. -_-

Nmn writes:(new) 23.03.2005, 23:01 GMT+1

The statistics are promising like hell.

Kristus writes:(new) 24.03.2005, 01:31 GMT+1

I'm just playing the maps I've got semi done with Agent Spork. He said he likes it. Which I take as a good thing. :p

Agent Spork writes:(new) 24.03.2005, 01:38 GMT+1

Agent Spork approved!

Kristus writes:(new) 24.03.2005, 02:30 GMT+1

I forgot to update the project info. but it's all over the internet anyways. :p nmdm06 (shot1) and nmdm08 (shot2) have been added and made by Agent Spork.

Nmn writes:(new) 20.06.2005, 22:55 GMT+1

I wonder why we can't see new sprites.

God dammit, why does this keep happening when i update WIP?

EDIT: fixed. :D

NMN: You can't see any sprites? Are you blind?

Anyway, go here: http://www.skulltag.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1252
for tons of shots that have sprites aswell.

If that's not enough for you, go to: http://www.doomworld.com/idgames/index.php?id=11610
and download Nimrod for Legacy, then open XWE and view all of them to your hearts content. YAY

SoM writes:(new) 02.07.2005, 15:31 GMT+1

Now if you'd only make an eternity project. ;P

I've played a private beta because kristus is trying to get me to send his book to him, and this is a lot of fun guys!

Kristus writes:(new) 02.07.2005, 15:35 GMT+1

How about you port Nimrod's SP maps to Eternity? :p

Tormentor667 writes:(new) 02.07.2005, 16:15 GMT+1

Shot 1 looks pretty cool, and the title also is pretty nice :)

Kristus writes:(new) 02.07.2005, 16:27 GMT+1

Ah, yes that is the mastery of Agent Spork in the first shot. Glad you like the logo. :)

Agent Spork writes:(new) 02.07.2005, 20:20 GMT+1

The new logo looks really nice. :D

MR.INSANE writes:(new) 02.07.2005, 21:00 GMT+1

shot 1 looks great, shot 3 is to dark to see anything

Heh misunderstanding. No need to go angry humiliating Yourself tough. :)
I had and played Your cool project before I even joined the community.

Cool shots, Agent Spork grew into a master of detailing now (heh, simplicity), and that's a nice titlepic, innovative. There's prolly some new trend on posting titlepics now at WIP. :)

Nah, it's just something we do with the TF projects. :)

Oh, you mean, NEW NEW sprites. Well, I considered making new weapon sprites for the ST weapons, I even have a grenadelauncher and Railgun sprite set I made a couple of years ago for "Doom Resurrection". Not the Doom resurrection version that got finished, but the Doom Resurrection version that Tawney worked on. (They were the same project, but then again they also weren't :p )
But I decided against it. But there's some new sprites in there, the medals are sprites. :o

EDIT: In any case, since most people never played Ni'mrod in the first place, there'll be like there's new sprites. Besides I hate making sprites these days, so I don't see why I should start making them again.

evilhomerdoomer writes:(new) 04.07.2005, 07:20 GMT+1

I like the title pic. Simple, yet awesome. :)

Really doubt someone missed Nimrod since it's a) mentioned in teh best wads list and b) is so cool :)
BTW, why do You hate making sprites? Not that it being worrying, just curious.

Kristus writes:(new) 04.07.2005, 16:17 GMT+1

Well, I've consecutively made sprites and similar "art" from the years 1991-2002. I've still made a couple of sprite sets between 2003-2005 aswell, but not at all as much as I used to. And I am bloody sick of it TBH.

Most people didn't play past Map01 actually, and those who did usually quit around map03-04. I know of 2 or 3 people that actually played it through. But that doesn't really matter, cause I've played it through enough times to compensate for that. :p

Hirogen2 writes:(new) 16.07.2005, 18:46 GMT+1

There already has been a "Nimrod" - mind care when giving a name.

Nuxius writes:(new) 17.07.2005, 01:51 GMT+1

Why don't you try reading the description? :)

Tormentor667 writes:(new) 20.07.2005, 02:37 GMT+1

Nice, new shots are stunning, have a nice architecutre :)

Hirogen2 writes:(new) 27.07.2005, 14:17 GMT+1

A continuation oh well.

Kristus writes:(new) 04.08.2005, 16:38 GMT+1

Hirogen2: Continuation? Not at all.

Infurnus writes:(new) 11.12.2005, 04:11 GMT+1

This is the best DeathMatch wad I have played in a long time...
