Things took longer than expected, but now most maps are complete, as well as all new music and graphics, basically it has been reduced to 8 maps, 7 normal and one secret. The old story has been replaced with a new one, also 3 more new guns made by Corrupt_Marine....

I Expect the project to be complete before the end of summer...

Weapon in shot 2 looks good. Though the perspective is off on the scope thingy (it looks like it's angled down)

Weapon in shot 1 looks good but the lighting is off and looks a bit puffy (not as in gay).

Weapon in shot 3 is just far to big. It obscures half the players view!

Impclaw-those weapons are finished. Please don't cover Yourself with-it looks like that because it's not finished, I don't like that. They just need pickup sprites. I told You I don't have enough time and if You're counting for a release before KDIZD I suggest Your rip some. The Zdoom community project takes too much of my attention.

Dani-the scope can't be off the perspective. One thing I am certain, all of them were constructed with the help of Scuba's tips concerning 1 VP perspective. It looks fine to me.
In my defense I took some time and modelled a loose silhoutte of the shape of the rocket launcher in Gmax and positioned it like I was about to fire. Both of us know that 3d modelling programs can't lie about perspective, so here's a screenshot proving the scope is fine with perspective:

1st shot-what do You mean puff? I like C+C, but please be specific. If the flashes are too dimmed, it's not my fault, it's the Doom pallette.
3rd Weapon-that is a firing frame. The weapon in it's idle frames is a bit smaller and as a BFG replacement it meant to obscure player's view. It's a sorta stragetic element.

I don't care if You credit me. I'm too busy right now to worry.

Chronoteeth-Impclaw told me that it's not necessary to make the super shotgun so I won't.

Plasma-I don't understand. You can code the Plasma into a Railgun. Or do You mean graphics? Want to make You a Railgun?
Also-about the "outside of screen thing"-mess with sprite offsets with XWE or Wintex. Something most people should be familiarised with.

Sorry Nmn but I still think the perspective is off with gun-in-shot2. The problems arn't really due to form, its more a lighting issue. there doesn't seem to be a dominating direction of light as you have shadows where there shouldn't be and highlights on the wrong edges.

Don't take this as me being an asshole, as you know I'm artist as well so I hope you value my imput.

Still they are very nice as WIP. You've defined the character of each weapon well, things can only get better.

Those dark things aren't shadows, but reflections on the metalic surface. I wanted to give it a high contrast metalic texture. But thx for input tough, *sigh* I'll see what can be done about it..

The one in the second shot is very flat, I get a distinct mspaint feeling from it. the hand and all. it's also quite messy, as it looks greasy and not like a weapon very much. I don't get any sense of dept in it. . The holes on the sides look like they are drawn on the screen rather than in the angular direction of the weapon.

The one in the second shot is alot of that aswell, the muzzle flash aswell as the whole weapon have a outline I don't care for, the weapon having a blackand the muzzel having a yellow on the sparks going outside the green orb part. Work on making it sharper in it's details aswell as not so greasy.

That's the best I can explain it.

That weapon was done by Corrupted Marine. I wanted to keep some of this changes (barrel). Yep, he did it in MSPaint. And well :P

What is this "Greasy" thing You keep talking about. Hmm. This weapon was done by being 2x of it's size and then rescaled, something new.. :/ and scaling probably blurred it's details. Yeah, the outline is there... as on most Scuba's weapons.. :/ I'll see if I can fix those.

Change the size to twice the size,m then change the pallette to Doom's and fix all color incorrections, then shrink it down to the correct size and get a crisp and clean sprite.

Believe it or not, the first Beta version of MAP02 has been made. So now all I have to do is refine the coding, lighting, and monsters, and It's good to go. I'm personally pleased with the storage room in it *grins* it's great.

well... just finishing up last minute improvements with all the graphics, and added a couple new guns for your playing pleasure. :) i guess the only thing that were looking for now is finishing up the levels and checking for all the errors...

actually, since my weapon graphics have been much improved since i first started this project, i was thinking of just replacing almost ALL the weapons with new ones... but after much consideration, i figured to keep the weapons that we currently have. i didnt think the community would approve of this idea...
