@NMN - Well, this wasn't intentional, I took the 3 first pics I had in my "DoomDev/KDIZD" directory (where all the others are) and as soon as we have our maps finished, I will update these pics. But if you want to, you can also send me 3 better pics (tormentor667 AT arcor.de) and I will update those pics here, no problem :)

The pipe thing in the wall in the first shot is a bit strange, because the texture cuts in the middle of something.
Tormentor: I think he means you could have four mini screenshots in each shot .

The slope in the E1M3 shot looks a bit ugly. Add some "support" things to the sides and it'll look better. Looks like E1M6 is going to be really cool, the orange light coming down from the ceiling windows? is awesome.
Why doesen't the intermission work, and why is there a lump in the resource wad with someone "singing" the doom song...
ImpClaw-the intermission doesn't work because it's not finished. Wait until the project is completed :) The singing is some easter egg which I find dumb, but since it made itself to the resource file I have no right to speak in this case.

i can't wait to see this finished. i took a look at E1M1 (i lurk in the zdoom forums) a while ago and liked what i saw.
you guys are doing great work. actually i've been meaning to make a sort of remake of doom1, all 3 original episodes, where the levels actually look like what they're supposed to be. the idea's been in my head for a year or so, and sooner or later when i finally clinch the skilz and the patience i'll do it.
Please finish the intermap... i must see it... please...

3rd screen, bottom left, E1M4... proper looking usage of slopes to whoever created that. :D
What the hell... It just looks... AMAZING!. Lovely slopes :).
mp3 is worse compared to ogg;
wmplayer sucks or get the DirectShow Ogg plugin.
The one problem I have with this project is my inability to notice any screenshots that look anything at all like the original maps. I can't recognize anything at all.
Maybe I will once I actually play it. Other than that it looks really sweet. Hopefully it'll still retain the original Episode 1 gameplay that I love so much.
Also, that interscreen map thingy looks really awesome.
Agent-the concept behind the maps is not only their essence in the e1 style we know and love-but think, HOW would episode 1 look if ID had Zdoom back then? Who knows, maybe episode 1 wouldn't look like the original one. We're sorta trying not to recreate the e1 feeling, rather improve it :)

Man this wad is sure to be promising. Seems to me to be on par with all the other great zdoom wads and even doom 3 (not including the pixelated pseudo-3d graphics)
Hay Tormentor667 you shouldn't let ID softwear get under your skin for making this PC the levels in KDIZD aren't the same as the orignle Doom1 episode levels so you should just put it out for everybody to download. like you said ID softwear will be wasting money on the law suit if they press charges.

Great atmosphere! But is a big bug in Phobos Anomaly - I kill 3 Barons but the fourth one stuck and I had to cheat to kill him (I used the latest version of GZDooM).
His mistake. It works for Doom 1 not Doom 2.
Good... Very good. But you have failed in the attempt to re-capture the spooky feel of the original. There are just too many monsters around every corner. One of the things that made me piss my pants when i played Doom around the time it was new was the fact that you never know what you would see around the next corner. Then all of a sudden you hear a beastly sound, something you haven't heard before... An IMP sneaks up behind you and starts clawing at you.
I have to say... this is BYFAR the best set of maps I've played in a long time... and that includes memento mori
for me theres one map, and i cant get past it
