Just recorded some clips of my old "Recon Obsolete" Wad.

It's about a 15 minute vid... You don't have to watch it all. I just never got to show people the old wad and want to show what progress was before.

Feedback is very much appreciated, whether it be criticism or help.

I originally made a wad with the same name about two years ago, but the data for it here got wiped as well as the latest wad data on my laptop... >:(

It was posted for a while on Realm667

I've been working on a newer version of the wad, definitely trying to stay with the atmospheric/winter theme though. Wanna try and push GZDooM without taking away that old school doom feel. Wonder how that'll work hehe.

As usual there will be new features such as weapons, sprites, textures, music, sounds, hud... The whole package.

And again as usual it will be a one man project, so this will take a while.

UPDATE! Just looked through one of my old HDD's and found data of the old Recon Obsolete. Not gonna continue working on that but i'm thinking of making a video showing what it looked like.

Thanks for your interest people! :)

Excellent. Voices for the kid very similar to Link. I feel the walking is way too loud, even more when you need to be silent around the guards. And, the kid doesn't look too much like ojne in the mirror :)) I knew the soundtrack wasn't yours, just at least give credits to what you use that's not yours.

All the rest is amazing work. A fine sense of stress comes from the experience. The ambiant soundtrack suits perfectly to the mood. Nice piece of work.

Thanks, didn't know what I was going for at the time. I mainly just wanted to see how far I could push the gzdoom engine without completely modifying it.

With this current wad gzdoom is handling plenty of 3d floors and slopes perfectly. It's just certain *things* like snow and fog that reduce the frame rate to 35-42.

And yeah I love the sounds too, just gotta make things more quiet.

Keep on 'cause it deserves it; so good :)
