Description:

This is to be my first ever Doom wad and it makes full use of all the advanced features of Doomsday.
It's somewhat Quake/Unreal inspired and is set in an abandoned sewage works that the Hell Spawn have converted to manufacture Mancubi. This wad see's you journey through the "factory", the genetics labs and the power substation in an attempt to shut down the infernal machine.

Features some new textures by me and some new sounds by Jow.

Looks cool.

Lighting is delicious, yes, indeed. I like the overal Quake 1 look of it too. I'm not quite comfortable with JDoom, but, hey, whatever floats your boat.

MasterOfPuppets writes:(new) 11.02.2004, 07:18 GMT+1

wow, you can make lighting like that in jDoom? very impressive! the basic architech looks slightly on the basic side, but is very good considering this is your first.

Thanks guys. Work has slowed on this as I'm getting the jDRP 1.01 ready for release...

I can't add much more detail in the area in shots 1&2 as there is a lot going on in this area that you can't see in the pics. For instance the sludge flows and rises whilest giving of steam etc and there is a lot of animated lighting etc.

I'm putting the final touches to a cool elevator I've been working on that stops at multiple floors. Also you can access the computer terminals for various stuff like a map of the facility.

flows...rises...steams...?
damn that sounds freaken cool!

DaniJ writes:(new) 27.02.2004, 02:31 GMT+1

I've almost finished the "factory" half of the level and the genetics lab. Now I need to start fixing up the hi tech part of the facility that the demons have built around the framework of the old part. This provides a great change in style and look, that is really welcome halfway through the map. These are the Unreal style inspired areas.

The elevator I mentioned above is now complete. Soon you will know the true power of this fully opperational transport device. MWUHAHAHAHA...

when will this wad be done ? i really would like to try it

harry writes:(new) 27.05.2004, 20:29 GMT+1

I can't wait to play it!

DaniJ writes:(new) 29.05.2004, 19:10 GMT+1

Just thought I'd mention that I am still working on this but very off and on. It's since grown into a 3 wad set but I've got a load of other projects on the go atm (jDRP, SCUDD etc) and this is right at the bottom of the pile.

I will complete it though.

the lighting gives it that "taken over lab" feeling, very good!

Awesome atmosphere and lighting.
